I have an Actiontec PCI modem the directions for installing it in Linux can
be found at www.actiontec.com/support/modems/cwifag.html . As long as yours
is a hardware based modem you should be able to install it the same way.
    Another thing you should also check if you are using  Kppp is the
Authentication. It by default is set for PAP and I know with my ISP
BellSouth I had to change it to CHAP and if your Auth is set wrong if if
your modem is configured correctly you will not be able to connect.
