 I tend to favor Gnome... because the sound actually seems to work, "most of 
the time".   Since I upgraded KDE, the sound has been "squirrly".   I know
sound isn't important to some "linux purists", but it sure helps me when i'm 
running mulitple desktops and  waiting for an important message on ICQ or 
something... :)
