I just had this exact error message before I signed on for my mail tonight.
Here is what I did:
I changed the account information. I actually changed my full name to just my
first name. I did this also in the outgoing account info. After I changed it
all back to what it was, It worked fine. My advice is try to undo what you may
have done, if that doesn't do it, delete your account info and start again with
a new one.
