Now, I have yet to find the replacement for Frontpage. This is something that bothers me a great deal. However, I have managed to install (what will be LM 8.2) several times (only because I like to tinker the machine to non-functionality :) a more-then-functional install.
I was up and running in KWord (which was shortly replaced by OpenOffice), had mozilla running, read my mail w/ evolution, and set my wallpaper that pretty little thing I like to call the GF. As for computer specs (these are a little dauting). AMD 1700+ XP ECS K7S5a 512MB DDR CL2.0 20GB 7200 Pioneer 10x Slot load DVD HP 10x4x32 burner NVidia Geforce 2 GTS 32MB SBLive v2 Samsung SyncMaster 955DF NOw I've had it running before on this hardware config: AMD Duron 600 A7V Motherboard (ASUS) 256MB PC133 CL2 (rest of hardware the same.) Monitor Acer 54e My Server is currently running the following hardware: Gigabyte GA-7ZMM (KM133) Onboard ProSavage Video 256MB PC 133 CL2 20GB 7200 AMD T-Bird 700 52X LG CD Dlink DFE538-TX NIC On all of these hardware configurations I was able to install LM just fine. I admit I've created errors for myself afterwards when trying to tinker, but as a perfect example, I just reformated my server last night. I installed (what will be 8.2) on it, edited 1 file to enable 4 directories to be exported via NFS, and I was done. Computer was up and running perfectly. If anyone information is required.
