Just Noise can be a big issue with lots of cooling and if you look at most computer cases the designer never gave noise control much thought. First most of them have large sheet metal sides that are perfect for making any noise louder for that you need a bit of accustic insulation and the stuff I would reccomend can be found at McMaster Carr company www.mcmaster.com If you allready have a large server sase it should fit fine. It has about 1/8 inch(3mm) of foam, then a thin layer of (beleave it or not) lead foil and another 1/8 inch of foam. Attach it inside those large side panels with spray contact cement 3M 90 is Great McMaster part #7610A13 but be careful you don't get a chance to reposition anything it grabs INSTANTLY !!! Also noise is reduced 2-3 db every time it is forced to go around a 90 degree bend so you may want to make a deflecter to take any cooling air going out of the box and divert it down in the directon of the floor. there are also louvered grilles avalable for muffin fans that help with that Hoffman products makes a lot of nice stuff for this type of thing but they have a high price tag on their stuff you should be able to find similar products that are cheeper. Remembeer to keep any fans pushing air out of the case near the top to let convection help you. Sorry folks if this is starting to sound more like a message for a industrial control and design fourm. Good luck Marc
