But I don't think you realy need it. I think hte problem may be that the make file for the driver is looking at the make file in the kernel source, and finding the line: EXTRAVERSION = -6mdkcustom if you change this to: EXTRAVERSION = -6mdk your driver will probably try to put the finished module in the correct directory. You will want to make sure and change it back before compiling your own kernel.
