When you ran the installer, did you specify all of your settings for your video card and monitor? Could be that you don't have a "screen" configured for X. Try running "X -configure" as root from the command prompt. It will generate a test xorg.conf file for you to try (run X -config /root/xorg.conf.new) and see if a blue screen with a mouse cursor appears. If so, the new file should work. I believe it copies the necessary info into /etc/X11/xorg.conf, which is the system default for X. HTH > Any ideas what could be wrong?
