Hi All, Bit of a strange one this....
I've just gone up to 2006 (clean install from ftp server), and I am having a keyboard related problem. Every now and again, it goes all daft on me, and su root will look like ssssuu rrrrrrrrrroooooott...... although, if I try to delete letters, then one press of the backspace key will delete the whole lot!! It will do it totally at random, and no matter what program I am using at the time, be it Konsole, Firefox, Kmail and so forth..... The only way to stop it, is to reboot. I have tried 3 different keyboards, all with the same result. I have booted into Windows (on the same drive), and nothing happens there either. To top it off, I'm currently logged into KDE as root (urpmi'ing some stuff), and it is working fine.... but the moment I log in as me, it happens again!! Strange! Any ideas?? Cheers, James
