Thanks for the links!
I am now feeling rather foolish - I bought - on eBay - a CD
with scans of a service and an owners manual for GS 1000 bikes (not
the right year, but it was something) only to find that the ones I
bought on CD are right there on that first link you sent.
Blast. (Not the Buell)
As to the upgrades and rebuilds - at the moment, nothing seems
to be going bad, but let me get the carbs flushed out and we'll see. I
plan to add an inline fuel filter - as it doesn't have one and hope
that will catch any junk flying around in the tank. If the tank is too
bad I'll be using a product called (Depending on when you bought it)
Kwik Poly or Xtream Poly to seal the tank. Works very well and
amazingly fast.
