I have a '92 750 nighthawk. I see it redlines at, i think it's 8500. When i'm riding at a more or less constant speed, what rpms is optimal? I feel like around 4k is right, partly because that's where it seems designed to be at when i'm cruising in 5th gear at highway speed.
When I am accelerating, I often go above that briefly. When i get to around 6k +, am I being hard on the engine? Would it be ok to cruise at 6 or 7K for extended periods? Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
