I'd pay $500 tops for it if it was in nice but neglected state with a clean title, but only if it runs. But Joey is right a grand would be in order to get it in a condition I would require before I'd trust it with my life. I would also add to that list Brakes and lines, chain and sprockets, air/oil filters and oil change. I'd guess in ready to ride condition the bike is maybe worth $1500 here in the DC area. In the words of my Dad - "Its worth whatever you can get someone to pay for it." 10K and 10 years w/o moving basically means you'll be doing a lot of catchup maintenance - probably carb cleaning and a tank flush at the minimum. Oh - tires - after that long she needs tires. Battery too - you're looking at sinking the better part of a grand in it in tires battery - fork seals should be looked at / replaced.... Yeah you wouldn't want to pay much for that IMHO. -Joey On Tue, Jun 28, 2011 at 8:14 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > ** Lady at work has a 1975 CB500 that hasn't been used for more than 10 > years with 10K miles.
