Good stuff Kyle/138

I'm good with hydraulics but didn't know the plastic cover popped off. I was
looking for screws.

It's an easy fix. I love the hydraulic clutch. I have arthritis in my left
hand & it makes it much easier shift.

I might sell some of my guitars because of pain., but I won't give up riding.

P.S. re:Hauling Bike-
The road trip w/ the 550 in the new S-10 PU worked great!
I compressed the forks & shocks. I discovered my Brother had an foldable
aluminum ramp to load stuff.
3-way tie downs on the front frame /yoke. Another strap on the rear. Didn't
budge an inch for 150-miles on the Pa-Turnpike.

Not sure if this helps, but I finally got my webserver running again (harddrive
quit spinning) and there are some pics from when I did my clutch slave cyl
rebuild.

Yes, fluid seems to be coing up the divot in the center where the clutch rod
fits in. I will try to pull it apart tomorrow.

The fluid is coming out of the center of the piston? It shouldn't be doing
that. I seem to remember it had a divot for the clutch rod to fit in, but it
shouldn't be a hole all the way through for fluid to escape. If you have a
pinhole there that would explain the slow loss of your clutch, and yeah, the
fluid would be going where it shouldn't be.

It would not even move. Just kept leaking fluid through the center hole. The
seals are probably shot. I ordered a rebuild kit. Now, just a few hours later,
I have no pressure on the clutch handle at all. Where is the fluid going? Into
the engine? No drips on the floor that I can see.

Once the slave is removed from the side of the bike you can use the hydraulic
pressure of the line to help press it out. Heating it may help too.

I cannot find the right one on eBay so I will order the rebuild kit. Not sure
how I would get the cylinder out, since it is not moving, but I will figure it
out.

I don't know if I would go to ebay for one of those. They are fairly easy to
rebuild and new parts can still be found fairly cheap.

I did have the cap off. I am bleeding it with a manual bleeding pump. I let it
sit and now the clutch does not even dis-engage at all. I think the slave
cylinder is leaking. When I had the slave cylinder off and pumped the clutch,
fluid started coming out the center. I know that should not be.

I will get another one on Fleebay.

I just installed a used Clutch master cylinder on my 83 NH650 and the clutch
does not dis-engage the gears completely. I can hold the bike in gear with the
clutch pulled, but I cannot shift it back into Neutral. I have to turn the bike
off to do that. Is there any way to adjust the clutch travel? I flushed the
system properly and the clutch grabs as soon as you let it come out just a
little.

Thanks,
