Hello all, i just purchased last year a 1983 nh 650, and i am running into a lot of problems,
To get straight to the point, the previous owner attached an after market ferring to it(forgive me if i spelled it wrong) took off the signals and disconnected the headlight. Therefore i am stuck with a bike with no headlight and no signals. Secondly, the bike keeps draining the battery after one days running. I start the thing, it runs ok, then either stalls out when i am at a stop, then starts up again. I turn the thing off for the night, next morning i go to start it and it drains the entire battery trying to start it. So back to the recharger i go. 1) I do not know what battery if takes( i need a part number on it) and even when i get that, what am i going to do to figure out if it is just the battery or a power drain.) 2) where do i go to get the correct parts and how do i get the headlamp reconnected. ( all i have is a plug that went into the ferring) 3) i purchased the clymer manual. So perhaps you all can help me figure out where to begin.
