The Nikon and Tamron tested almost identically by Photodo, so close in
fact that the only difference in score can be attributed to expected
sample or testing variation. I would have to agree that it is in fact
the same lens and as was asserted previously that it is a relabelled
Tamron lens. Furthermore, if the Nikon version sports Nikons ED glass,
than it's also safe to say that Tamrons LD glass is every bit as good.
This is somewhat disconcerting to me.

While this is not certain, it certainly is curious.
