Applied in commit 60abfe1. `flush()` now clears the batch after a failed database flush and logs one warning per successful manager startup when buffered events are discarded. Removed the duplicate-row claim and all four inline comments, and simplified the changelog. The focused test (13 tests) and Spotless check pass.
