Like PT Barnum said 'There's a sucker born every minute' . If he sells out then good for him, but he's pricing out a lot of his fans or making some of them forget their priorities and spend that outrageous amount of money for a general admission ticket. If you live in Vegas then it wont cost you as much as someone who has to travel ($$), get lodging ($$) maybe a car ($$) and food ($$). So your final cost to pay to see him will be minimally at best just under $1000. To him, maybe money don't matter tonight. But to me, it does.
