thank you! I will include your statement in my book. IMO it makes no
sense to try to use this feature in the current sorry state.
I’ll also advise against everything else than line, text and check
fields that can work in a printable form and are still helpful
interactively. (radio would be fixable, as outlined in my OP.)
I tried choice/popup/combo fields now, and viewer support is just too
bad IMO. It doesn’t help that ConTeXt’s height setting doesn’t seem to
work on popup & combo.
well, it all has worked ok (over a decade ago it did) so maybe somethign
changed ... one should anyway play safe with these features; same with
annotations as some stuff was also dropped from the standard there
i paobbaly would look into it (current state of viewers etc) when i had
a project that needs it but that's not the case so other things take
priority
