While I find this interesting, I have no use for Gaelic, but let’s pick
the low hanging fruits.

PATTERNS
I tried "mtxrun --script patterns …" on the patterns in my TeX live
installation, and it seems to work, but I can‘t find the generated
files, regardless of --destination.
