The log file is wherever your OS puts facility daemon messages (unless you
changed the facility via run time parameters).  Check your syslog.conf or
whatever file it is...

        Did you follow the 1STRUN.txt instructions?
        
        Usually ntop runs on port 3000 unless you've changed this via -w.
If that's not it, then read the system log for relevant messages.
        where is this messages file
         /var/log/messages ??? this is null.

        I can't find this file in
        /usr/local/share/ntop/html
         
        where is problem
