No, it
isn’t different, but a couple of questions for you. Do you have a mail relay between Exchange and the
internet? If so, do you use an
alias file? Smtp addressing
doesn’t work any different for PF’s.
Have you tested it by sending a message to it from an external
account? Have you verified the
permissions on the PF? Default I
think needs to be set to Author, otherwise the messages from the list are
rejected. Check those things and
come back. Ben Winzenz,

great. A question: I used my personal mail address to
subscribe and am now trying to subscribe with the public folder address. I
joined the list with the public folder addressing and it was accepted, but
haven't received the confirmation email to reply to. Is the smtp addressing for
a public folder different than an individual mailbox? Carolyn Ramsey -----Original
Message----- Minor modification to
this last suggestion: set up the rule to move all messages sent to
"NT System Admin Issues." Use the with specific words in the
recipient's address option; otherwise,
you'll have to create an address book entry if you want to use the sent
to people or distribution list option. -----Original
