We have a local company that we use for most of our training. We were able, a few years ago, to buy vouchers. We put our annual training budget into these, and are able to use them whenever, without expiration. Then, we watch their weekly newsletter, and book classes at the last minute, which gets us a substantial discount.

For those who provide training for staff development, is this kind of classroom training the way to go? Are there other alternatives for classroom training, or do you use other training resources such as video training from places like Trainsignal? I'm looking for a bit of a reality check, as well as suggestions. We haven't provided this kind of staff training up to now, so I have no experience in this area. For myself I have relied on Google Training and some good books, but I was looking for something more formal/structured. Appreciate any comments and advice.
