I recently moved from McAfee Virusscan to VIPRE. I found the automatic removal script only worked on about half of the first few workstations. I ended up doing the uninstallation manually. It may have been due to inconsistent Virusscan installations, but I felt better running a small batch file and observing the results. YMMV... But you be glad you made the move to VIPRE, anyway! Whatever, just got my license keys for Vipre and Sunbelt's sales team will likely (said in a 'Godfather' like voice) make you an offer you can't refuse. Deep scans from McAfee weren't allowed on my servers because it would absolutely bring the server to a screeching halt, which is not good. Just made my desktop guys so happy today that they were about to give me hugs when I showed them in writing that Vipre Enterprise will remove McAfee automatically. Most of the IT people that I work with have switched to Vipre even though we have a free home use of McAfee....
