well, to overstate the obvious, on wide screen formats it's easier to have
to open documents side by side, or barely overlapped, and that can come in
handy, especially if you're not running dual monitors

Subject: Monitor: regular or widescreen

Folks,

I"m about to start purchasing for our annual PC refresh cycle. I normally
purchase 17" monitors (we are a Dell shop) but I see I can get 19" regular
and 19" wide screen for just a bit more. Anyone care to comment on the
benefit of wide v. regular size?

Thanks,
