I think your clang error is because of the `MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET`
environment variable. What version of OS X are you running? What is
the value of "echo $MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET" in your shell?

It needs to be 10.7 or higher.
