Renee Davis and I went to Morningside Park this afternoon hoping for some new birds. Surprisingly, there was no change overnight, nor today. Every bird that was present last evening was still there this evening, down to the exact count. It is unusual for a Black-bellied Plover to continue more than one day in the county. The Pectoral Sandpipers are more likely to stay over, and did. It was a good opportunity for anyone to increase their county list. Continued good birding! John Haas
