I am assuming that since I CAN connect sometimes, the DNS 's are correct.

I'll look and see if there is a later driver on the manufactures' web site - although 
I don't see this as
being the problem because I have it using two different modems Micromodem HSP56 and a 
Psion GoldCard V90.

I have done that.  Did have a Fax on the same line, but nodifferent with it 
disconnected

Problem is with a Business connection, there is a real disincentive to change!
