On a second reading of that, I can see why you may be cautious. My thoughts would be to talk to the vendors pointing out that you had found for them a major fix for their product to work alongside Coldfusion correctly. Also that you assisted them in solving the issue by paying cost for their fix.
You were surprised that they had overlooked incorporating that fix into their new version and could they give you an estimate on when they would release the fix. Yes, I have had a complete turnaround (A decision is only a decision until new information comes along to confirm it or allow making a new decision).
