Usually in that case there is no disagreement that it should be backed out. Also, there is a clear cut gatekeeper & tech lead in charge to make the call. In this case, there is disagreement - and to compound the problem, there is no clear cut 'leader' in charge. There are leaders of the Website project, and acting for core contributors of the Advocacy community, Derek made the changes.
