Regarding Third Edition being a WotC trademark, it IS
NOT.
WotC contacted me about that. They simply asked that I
not say I was creating Third Edition products as they
are the only ones who (in their view) can create
official 3E products. But I can say "compatible with
Third Edition," "for Third Edition," or "useable with
Third Edition," or my personal favorite: "For use with
the Third Edition of the world's most popular fantasy
roleplaying rules."
