So they can sell more PHB. Duh...
All that aside, I want to keep putting this out there:
<rant>
NOT ALL COMPUTER SOFTWARE THAT TOUCHES ON OPEN GAMING IS A COMPUTER GAME.
PLEASE DON'T WRITE THE D20STL AS IF ALL OGC/D20 RELATED COMPUTER SOFTWARE
WAS A COMPUTER GAME!
</rant>
If what they want to do is prevent D20 computer games, they are going to
have to _real_ careful about who they write the license, assuming they
don't mean to also shut off DM support software or D20 products being
distributed over the web.
I, for one, would love to know how the D20STL would deal with a CGI script
(in, theory "software") kicking out a D20 adventure, but still allowing a
"manually" written D20 adventure being on a web site.
