Just a quick note before I hit the sack:

I've been in Vegas since last Friday - I haven't talked to anyone in the
office since then.

Nothing of any substance has changed in regard to our approach to releasing
the D20 system or the D20 trademark license. In fact, I had a very good
meeting with legal last week to discuss our internal process for approving
D20 content releases. We are making headway.

I read the threat on rpg.net (you should too if you care about this topic).
There's nothing to it. The guys at Emperor's Choice (Arduin's publishers)
are going to wait until the D20 license is finished before making a public
committment to a D20 product line, and they're acting cautiously as a result
of the message I sent to this list a couple of weeks back just reminding
everyone that the license still isn't final.

It's a tempest in a teapot, and frankly, I'm surprised that it got the play
that it did. You can be certain that if anyone at WotC changed direction on
this issue you'd hear a firestorm from Atlas, Green Ronin, Sword & Sorcery,
etc. long before you heard anything from a "fan" website.
