Let's set aside the issue of the "Requires the use of" clause.  I think your
arguments about the utility of translating that clase into whatever the
local language is is exactly correct.

The larger problem I see with the other clauses, which are basically legal
lines, is that the translation may not be accurate, and we can't possibly
review every translation that is attempted.  If the exact text, in English
is used, then the law will probably protect us even if nothing else in the
product is in English.  But if the translation goes bad, someone, somewhere
could potentially face some liability if we had to take action as a result.
