Actually k-12 is reserved for schools, much in the way that .edu is.
Of course the .tv should still be open....

.org is the most appropriate domain for the OGF.  But most people will go to
the .com site if they are just browsing.
and I think that is what Faustus is counting on.  I will not speculate on
reasons, they could be, as he says, to prevent someone else from doing it.

But if that is the case, why not forward it to the .org page, or a page that
list a few OGL/OGF links, including the .org site and the FAQs.

I am not pretending to know.
