Are sports corrupting RPGs, tonight on SportsCenter.

Heh, that's certainly true of my group. It usually takes us about an hour to 
get started when playing because several members of my group are NFL addicts 
of the highest order. They argue and lament about Joey Galloway or the skill 
of Charles Woodson, to say nothing of the obscure players they discuss.

Ok, so I like footbal, too, but I just can't keep up with 'em. They know too 
much. Of course, it doesn't help when they read The Sporting News or the 
weekend edition of USA Today during DURING sessions. Yes, during. When I 
GM'd, I had to practically ban all magazines during play.

Thank god the season's nearly over. But, of course, our sessions will be 
interrupted again in April (NFL draft time -- this is almost the worst!) and 
then again in August when preseason kicks up.
