Reginald-
I am an attorney. That certainly gives me a leg up as
far as my comfort level for producing d20 materials.
However, I would be insane to offer legal advice in a
general sense to a list of persons. I can't imagine
anyone taking you up on that offer.
Luckily, a person of reasonable intelligence should be
able to strictly comply with the terms of the OGL and
d20 license. They tell you what you can and can't do.
Get copies of those and read them. You start to run
into trouble when you want to get cute and try to do
things the licenses do not specificly cover or are
applicable to in an unclear way (software, for
example).
For what it is worth, to my knowledge none of the
current d20 producers have been sued or are suing
based on any of the published d20 material either by
WotC or others.
