Well even if you can't use a D20 logo, does the other open gaming license
preclude the use of the rules at all (legally)? That is, would it be legal to
use all of the rules but not use a D20 logo, and, therefore, that would allow me
to use character generation, etc? I seem to remember reading some interview
where Ryan Dancey (or perhaps someone else, if I'm misremembering) said that
someone could take the D20 rules, create and entire new game, and use it, without
using the D20 logo. It's only if they wanted to use the D20 logo that they would
have to reference the PHB and not include those rules. Can someone confirm this?
