Yes. Actually, that's what I'm saying. No beating around the bush for me.

Because the D20SRD is easier to change than the D20STL. For example, when 4e
comes out and they make all new "restricted terms", they won't have to
re-write the D20STL. (of course, they probably won't do that... the terms
would either stay the same, or they'd get a new "D20" bit.)

Since they're not trademarks, no. If you follow the OGL, you're doing what's
legally allowed by contract, and the lawyer's wouldn't bother with you.

? The restricted terms are words that *cannot be used in any other way in a
D20 game*. Thus, "Wisdom" can't be construed to mean "Intelligence" in a D20
game.
Ryan's attidude seems to be rather lax, so theoretically you could write a D20
game without using ANY of the restricted terms...
And you could most certainly change them all for an OGL-only D20SRD-based
game... or use them verbatium with OGL while ignoring the D20.

They're only restricted by the D20STL, and that's only their definitions. As
long as you don't change their definitions, WotC doesn't care how often you
use them--in D20 or just OGL.

I wish.
