That's amusing. I've heard precisely the opposite. While Unix admins are
generally harder to find, the machines they work with tend to need less
upkeep and are more stable. At the company where I work, PCs are only used
for mail and word processing, for the most part, and yet the PC support
department is twice the size of the Unix department, which handles all the
servers, graphical workstations, as well as the machines that we ship with
our product.
