We are now all burdened with this extra no trademarks clause.
If someone contributes a module called "Snakemen of Blablabla"
for the levelless game mechanic, my intention would be for
anyone else (including myself) to be able to contribute a
levelless module compatible with "Snakemen of Blablabla" and
say so. My intention would also be for the evolving trademark
laws and practice to govern as the years go on. Not for the
new clause to hold everyone hostage forever.

The solution to this is simple _ASK_ the creator of "Snakemen of Blablabla"
for permission. The clause doesn't say you can't do it. It says you can't do
it without permission! The idea here is to insure that when I do a module
called "Bloodbath in the Swamp" you have the right to decide if it goes with
your premise _before_ I say "compatible with Kal Lin's Swamp Adventures" on
my box. This will actually give _creators_ more say as to the type of
material that is associated with their work.
