Ah.  That's the root of the argument.

The fellow who doesn't write any more "Open gaming content" is still contributing
to the movement--he's bringing in new players to the network, or increasing the
reward existing players get.  AND, he's promoting at least one of the (theoretical
)branded systems, which increases their value directly.
