A lot of the benefit of Open Gaming is the evolution of plug-in
subsystems which can easily be used in other games. I'd MUCH rather you
use my in-development "Plot Hooks" add-on to character creation
(basically, a disad system), even if you don't pay me for it, then have
a thousand different and incompatible systems. (This implies, of course,
that my system is actually good and useful)

FAILING to utilize existing 'open' material, when it suits the needs of
the product, is, to my mind, a worse 'crime' against the concept of the
OGL than using it without adding anything new.
