Occasionally, a missed academic deadline will cost a grant, which can be a
good chunk of change. It may also cost a position, or a speaking gig, or
various other nasty personal consequences. But businesses go under from
missed deadlines every day.

Some of the professional students suffer these afflictions. But they are
