Faustus, I think you aren't reading posts very carefully and shooting from
the hip. Ryan said it is his PERSONAL OPINION. There is no precedent for
that.
I happen to agree with Ryan. A business-like response to a possible
infringement would be to settle it in a business-like fashion -- contact the
offender directly. If that doesn't work, then make some noise in the
appropriate place and in the appropriate way. Some people don't think this
is the place for it.
In my experience, if you don't have a supportable reason to resort to a
public forum for nailing someone for something like this, it usually
backfires and potential "bridges" get burned for you. That can happen even
if what you are doing is historically justified and you are totally in the
right.
