in multiple sources, it is not necessary to duplicate the entries. So
you only need to have one line that says:
System Rules Document Copyright 2000, Wizards of the Coast, Inc.;
Authors Jonathan Tweet, Monte Cook, Skip Williams, based on original
material by E. Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson.
Regardless of how many times it might appear in the source material
you're using.
But you >DON'T< get to make an arbitrary decision not to include a
unique entry in someone else's Section 15 declaration.
If, to continue Ryan's example, I really want to use "The OGF Lurker" from CC:III, and I know that it's all new OGC, I can send an e-mail to Clark and ask him directly.
Clark, being a smart producer, would either ignore the e-mail, say "no, use CC:III", or, if he's feeling generous, say "derive from the file I'm attaching you," which would be a work by itself, with "The OGF Lurker", OGC & PI declarations (and maybe a PI license), and an updated & trimmed Section 15 on its OGL.
If Clark says "no" or doesn't say anything, I have to use all of CC:III's section 15--but if I have my message from Clark, I have a different distribution to use and can, thus, drop the superfluous Section 15s. (Of course, it'd take quite a bit to get Clark to do this for me.)
