If it were true that you "xth gen product" were only derivative of what you saw, then you might theoretically not have to credit the SRD. Nowhere does it say that OGC has to obey all of the rules in the SRD - you could make a really stupid modifcation to a monster, for example, that was just not valid for any d20 game, and only credit the monster "that you saw". Obviously, since everybody credits the SRD and WotC and, way back from the deeps of time, Mr. Gygax & Mr. Arneson, then there is already precedent for crediting everyone that ever had anything to do with the development of a particular bit of OGC. Complaining about how difficult it is to simply copy something some text, however long, is childish. You can contact the creator directly, or include the whole section 15.
