But it won't help WotC sell books. Selling core rule books is the ONLY
reason d20 exists. If you can find a way to sell core rulebooks for WotC and
make it level-less, you ought to be able to negotiate something with them
over the d20 logo. I'm not holding my breath over it though.

Strictly speaking doesn't matter. If you find a loophole, WotC *will* close
it. They've already revised the d20  STL to close loopholes that others have
found.

The d20 Logo is intrinsically tied to the WotC product. A big part of the
identity of the WotC product is the Level/Class system. If your target
market is those who "vomit at the sight of it", then why do you want to tie
your product to it? Use the OGL.
