Indeed Alec is correct. I meant it to mean that I truly do think that this particular knowledge of copyrights is "basic" to any understanding of the OGL. Many would not think that this was basic in any way.

just to clear up a point, 'sic' does not mean 'spelled-in-correctly'.
It's actually a Latin word not an acronym for anything (altho I've also
seen 'spelling in context'). It's used to indicate that a passage is
intentionally written as it appears, despite what may seem to be
blatant errors. Most often it is used when quoting material and something in the
quote is either mispelled or grammatically incorrect to make it clear that
the mistake was by the original author and not the person doing the
quoting.
