Since presumably the svg library would be available for OIIO and not just IV, that would be introducing an additional library for those using just OIIO (ie Blender). I realize that most of the VFX houses these days are using Qt everywhere in their pipeline, but it sounds like that might bring in a fairly heavy dependency for OIIO users who aren't using Qt (although I don't know enough about Qt svg to know how easy it is to ship only the svg related portions).
