For the last few months I have been going through older posts which made it to
the blog and posting some of those pics to google+, and then the pic also has a
link to that post.  The blog started in 2008, so there are about 6000 posts or
so...  In doing so, I am also trying to identify some of the unidentified
athletes/subjects, and labeling their pic, in addition to adding a keyword for
guys not identified before.  Some of the visitors to the blog have also helped
out by leaving comments on the post "that player in the fourth pic is Teddy
Pontoon" or whatever. If you find it fun, click on the link below, and then on
the right side click on 2008 or whatever, and then a month to see those posts.
That's the positive, and has helped me really appreciate what a great group
this is and its "archive" in the blog.

The negative:  it is crazy to me how wild the comments on G+ are.  Many overtly
sexual comments.  Some dudes also seem to think each pic that another dude
posts (as I said, with the link to the blogpost below) is a picture of that
same dude, and they leave phone numbers, flirtatious comeons, etc. etc....  OMG
I am so glad that none of the groups I have been involved in has degenerated
into sad and tawdry pickup spot.
Thanks again to everyone who makes this such a great group!

As Always, Eric

when the group was first set up, it was designed to be a haven for sports
enthusiasts and men who might not be "out" yet.  No frontal nudity was a way to
ensure all members were protected and respected.  I've slipped a couple of
times, once MONUMENTALLY, but for the most part it's a rule I like.  You can
see nudity nearly anywhere on the internet.  At least, that's how it was
explained to me when I joined.

Hi Guys,
I’ve been a group member for several years, and have enjoyed the posts you’ve
been making.  Always a high point in my day.  I have a question about a group
rule that I’ve never understood:
Why are dick shots prohibited?  There doesn’t seem to be any restrictions on
cleverly cropped frontal shots, nude except for a hand cupping the crotch,
nudes from every other angle, ball sacs, gay themes, gay kissing, overt
sexuality, butt shots, or even closeup graphic images of various orifices.  So
why the no-no for dicks? It seems such a minor thing after everything else is
posted, so why the restriction?
Understand, I’m not criticizing, just curious. :)
Thanks,Dave--
