Of course that proves how consistent I am! I was
effectively saying that copying from others' work
(when permitted by the license) is fine. No pun intended.

I was not implying a double standard, if that's what you
mean.

In the case of my commit:
- the affected "code" is under a BSD license.
- I knew beforehand that it was about to be removed
  from the tree (but may be brought back some day).
